Who Can Attend: Anyone who is an adult or is a junior or senior in high school. Attendees will be readily available then for spring and fall scheduling
Students that are in high school will be trained, qualified and participate in the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Legacy mentoring program, allowing them to officiate spring junior high, academy (also CYO) and sub varsity games per MHSAA, and will be readily available for fall scheduling as well,
Cost: high school students - $35.00***, adults - $55.00***, if official is already MHSAA registered-$20 (make check payable to Byron Beattie)
*** - Cost includes 2021-2022 MHSAA official registration and liability insurance
Course Summary: Course will provide a review of the following:
A review and application of FIFA, NFHS (National Federation of High Schools) and MHSAA rules and procedures
A review, application and hands-on approach to the 2- and 3-man soccer referee system, including field mechanics practice
Review and application of referee conflict resolution
A final written test will be required.
At the conclusion of the course, participants will be registered for possible middle and high school sub varsity, CYO and MHSAA referee scheduling for spring 2022 season
