CHS Robotics takes FIRST in All Girl Robotics Tournament

The robotics team competed in an All Girl Robotics Tournament on Sunday, September 10th at Woodhaven High School.  The third annual Goonettes Invitational was begun to promote women in STEM and allow the girls on robotics teams to take the lead in the technical areas of the robotics program.  Boys could help only in a supporting role.  The Crestwood Robotics team, Charger Robotics, sent 5 girls to compete and wound up winning the tournament!  The girls who competed are Hala Komaiha, Jana Ibrahim, Nour Abu Alaywa, Reem Khanafer, and Yasmin Abu Alaywa.

In addition, Channel 4 News, WDIV Detroit, covered the story and there is a clip of our robot with the girls driving in the background.  Overall, it was a banner weekend for Charger Robotics.
