Mrs. Abdaallah, our math coach, read a book in Mrs. Ruggerio’s about using licorice to make shapes. Then they compared and contrast triangles and squares. Finally, students haven’t tried black licorice so they bought both red and black licorice and they compared the flavors.
Needless to say, students didn’t like black licorice and their faces showed it:)
