Due to the high winds, Kinloch Elementary School has lost power. Therefore, we will be releasing students at 1:30 PM on Friday, March 13, 2026.
Please pick up your children and have your identification available to confirm relationships to your child as you will retrieve them from the main office. Upon arriving to the school, directions will be given, and we ask everyone to be patient while we dismiss students in a safe and orderly fashion.

![A flyer announcing the Michigan Teacher Appreciation Video Project from the Michigan Department of Education. The project invites students to record short, positive videos thanking their teachers so they can be featured on MDE platforms during Teacher Appreciation Month in May. The flyer explains that videos should be 15–30 seconds long, recorded on a phone or camera, and should clearly show and capture the student’s voice. Students are encouraged to share something positive about their teacher, include their first name, grade, school, and the teacher’s last name, and mention something specific they appreciate about their teacher. Videos must be submitted in .MP4 or .MOV format using the provided link or QR code. The flyer also suggests prompts such as “I like how [teacher name] teaches because…” or “Thank you [teacher name] for being my teacher!” and encourages students to be creative and have fun. Today we celebrate the 100th Day of School! One hundred days of learning, growing, and achieving together. We are proud of the hard work our students and staff have shown so far this year and look forward to all that we will accomplish in the days ahead.

Count Day plays a major role in school funding, and the number of students in attendance directly impacts the resources we receive. Please make every effort to have your student at school and on time, TOMORROW, Wednesday, February 11th unless they are not feeling well.
